Private BlurCam respects your privacy. The app is designed to protect privacy in photos and videos using on-device processing for camera capture, face detection, blur rendering, metadata removal, and voice protection.

On-Device Video Processing

All video processing—including face detection, face blur, metadata stripping, and voice pitch modification—is performed locally on your device using Apple’s Vision framework and Metal technology.

Your camera media is processed on your device. Private BlurCam does not upload your photos or videos to a server for AI processing.

Data Collection

Private BlurCam does not collect, store, or sell your photos, videos, face data, voice recordings, creator media, or personal notes.

The app does NOT collect:

• Videos or photos
• Personal information
• Creator media or private notes
• Location data
• Face data or biometric information
• Voice recordings

How We Use Apple’s Vision Framework

Private BlurCam uses Apple’s on-device Vision framework to:

• Detect faces in video frames (processed locally, not stored)
• Apply blur effects to detected face regions
• All face detection happens in real-time on your device

No face data, biometric information, or video content is collected, stored, or transmitted.

Third-Party Services and App Events

App Store purchases and subscription management are handled by Apple. The app may also include third-party app event or advertising attribution technology, such as Meta/Facebook App Events, to measure installs, app opens, and subscription purchase events for marketing performance.

These services are not used to upload or process your photos, videos, face data, voice recordings, creator media, or private notes. Any third-party SDK use must be reflected in the App Store privacy nutrition labels and governed by the third party’s privacy terms.

Internet Usage

Private BlurCam can function completely offline. An internet connection is not required for recording or processing.

An internet connection may be used for:

• App Store subscription validation (handled by Apple)
• App install, app open, or purchase attribution events if marketing attribution is enabled
• Optional crash reporting if explicitly enabled in a future version

Subscription and Payments

Subscription management is handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or process payment information.

Children’s Privacy

Private BlurCam does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring children’s use of the app and ensuring appropriate content is shared online.

Data Retention

Since we do not collect any data, there is no data retention policy needed.

Recorded videos are stored locally on your device only until you choose to save them to your Photos library or delete them.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• All processing happens on your device
• You choose what to save or share
• You can delete recordings at any time
• No data is stored externally
