What the app processes

Important: Sneaky Carb Camera is for personal diet awareness. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, insulin dosing, or professional dietary advice.

Cloud processing

When you analyze a meal photo, image data is sent to Sneaky Carb Camera's managed analysis proxy. The proxy authenticates requests, applies rate limits, logs request metadata for abuse monitoring, and forwards the image to our AI provider so a result can be generated.

The app does not operate its own permanent remote storage for meal photos. Photos are used for the active analysis request. Menu Scan is designed to run on device where supported by the app.

On-device storage

If you save a scan result, Sneaky Carb Camera stores result details and an optional thumbnail locally on your device. You can remove entries from the History screen.

Purchases

Sneaky Carb Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple through StoreKit. We do not store your payment card details.

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Meal image data is shared with the AI provider only during active analysis. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs on this website.

Accuracy and health decisions

Photo-based carb estimates can be inaccurate because of lighting, portion size, hidden ingredients, recipes, sauces, and food preparation. Verify labels, serving sizes, restaurant nutrition information, and clinician guidance when accuracy matters.

Children

Sneaky Carb Camera is not directed at children under 13.
