1. Information Honored processes
Honored helps users store and organize information they enter or import, such as a parent profile, medications, allergies, emergency contacts, appointments, notes, and care documents.
By default, this information stays on the user's device. If the user explicitly enables iCloud sync inside the app, SwiftData mirrors that information through the user's private iCloud database.
2. No Honored backend
Honored does not operate a backend service that stores user care records. The app does not require account creation, does not require a login, and does not transmit care records to a Honored-owned server.
3. iCloud sync
iCloud sync is off by default. When a user turns it on, their records are mirrored through Apple's private CloudKit database associated with their Apple account. This is intended to keep data in the user's own iCloud environment rather than on a Honored-operated service.
4. Permissions
- Camera: used to scan care paperwork and records.
- Photos: used to import document images from the photo library.
- Notifications: used for optional readiness reminders if the user enables them.
- Face ID / Local Authentication: used to protect Emergency View and packet access when the user enables biometric protection.
5. Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Honored does not use third-party analytics SDKs, ad SDKs, or tracking SDKs to profile users or monetize care-record activity. Honored does not sell personal data.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Subscription purchases are handled through Apple's in-app purchase system. Billing, renewal, and payment method handling are managed by Apple under the user's Apple ID.
7. Data sharing
Honored does not provide a Honored-hosted social feed, ad network, or public sharing channel. When users export or share an emergency packet or document, that sharing is initiated by the user through Apple system features such as the share sheet, Files, or AirDrop.
8. Data deletion and device control
Because records are stored locally by default, users can remove data directly from the app or by deleting the app from their device. If iCloud sync is enabled, records may also exist in the user's private iCloud account according to Apple's platform behavior.
9. Children's privacy
Honored is not directed to children under 13.
10. Changes to this policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated if app functionality changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published.
