What The App Actually Does

Built around the shipped feature set.

This page reflects the current app source code, not aspirational product copy.

Label scanning

Use the camera or a photo from your library to scan a wine label. The app performs OCR on-device first, then can request deeper cloud analysis when needed.

Local cellar inventory

Your wine records are stored on your device using SwiftData. You can track producer, vintage, region, bottle count, location, notes, purchase history, and more.

AI sommelier

Ask wine questions, pairing questions, and cellar questions. When available, the app can include a summary of your collection to personalize responses.

Drinking windows

Scan results and cellar details can include drinking-window guidance so you can quickly see what is ready to drink and what may still need time.

Portfolio view

Review bottle counts, estimated value ranges, drink-now lists, regional breakdowns, exit-planning signals, and shareable collection reports.

Free and Premium

The source code supports a free tier plus monthly and yearly premium plans. Free includes local inventory and on-device OCR; premium unlocks AI label analysis, AI sommelier, and valuation features.

Privacy Model

Most cellar data stays on your device.

The app stores your collection locally. Images and text are sent to the server only when you use cloud-backed features like AI label analysis or sommelier chat. The app source and privacy manifest both indicate no tracking and no advertising use.

Authentication uses Sign in with Apple. Subscription billing is handled by Apple through in-app purchases.

Important Limits

No inflated claims.

Céllare is not a wine retailer, storage provider, transport service, insurer, or formal appraisal firm.

Valuation outputs are informational and should not be treated as certified appraisals for insurance, estate, tax, or legal use.

AI features require an internet connection. Local inventory remains on-device, but cloud analysis depends on the app backend being available.
