Do you upload my documents? No. ScanVault stores everything locally on your device. No document ever reaches a server.
What happens if I delete the app? Your vault is deleted with the app. Export an encrypted backup first if you want to keep your documents.
Can I move my vault to a new iPhone? Yes. Use the backup feature to export your vault, then restore it on your new device.
Does ScanVault require internet? No. The app works fully offline. The only network activity is Apple’s StoreKit for subscription management.
What encryption does ScanVault use? AES-256-GCM. Every file is encrypted before being written to disk, and the key is stored in Apple’s Keychain with device-only access.
Is my biometric data collected? No. Face ID and Touch ID authentication is handled entirely by Apple’s LocalAuthentication framework. ScanVault never receives or stores biometric data.
